Many of our neighbors have worked hard all their lives and have been physically able to repair their own homes. Now due to ageing, inflation, and other uncontrollable causes, they are unable to do the repair work themselves. We are teaming up with Rebuilding Together, a non-partisan, non-sectarian and non-profit volunteer project that in partnership with our community, rehabilitates the homes of low-income homeowners, particularly the elderly and disabled, so that they may continue to live in warmth, safety and independence.
This is a one day event, Saturday, April 25, 2009.
Volunteers provide assistance ranging from yard work, renovations involving plastering, painting, carpentry, plumbing and electrical repair. Rebuilding Together provides the funding for all the repairs resulting in no charge to the homeowner.
